IPL auction, Day 2
Day two fo the IPL auction was no different from the day one with even more surprises for all of us. Several big names remained unsold even on the second day of the auction while little-known Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian fetched an unexpected deal with Deccan Chargers buying him for whopping USD 900,000. His base price in the auction was USD 50,000.
Lara, Ganguly unsold at IPL-4 auction
Brian Lara, Sourav Ganguly, Chris Gayle, Jesse Ryder and Herschelle Gibbs were the stars who went unsold in IPL-4 auction in Bangalore today. Indian Premiere League’s season four auctions have already created lot of buzz in media and these unsold players left behind will be part of the discussings in the newspapers during the days to come.
Pak bans onion export to India
New Delhi government found it really shocking when Pakistan banned export of Onions to India citing reason of price-rise in local markets due to exports. On Thursday auhorities stopped more than 300 trucks of onions carrying 3000 tons of fresh onion for Indian Markets at the Wagah border.
