Pak bans onion export to India

New Delhi government found it really shocking when Pakistan banned export of Onions to India citing reason of price-rise in local markets due to exports. On Thursday auhorities stopped more than 300 trucks of onions carrying 3000 tons of fresh onion for Indian Markets at the Wagah border.

Intense cold wave forces schools closure

Most parts of the northern India is hit by the severe cold wave for almost a week now. Most affected states by this cold wave included northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Haryana. Cold also is increased in states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan where in Mount Abu temperature was registered below zero degree Celsius for many days now.

Cold wave hits north India, 30+ dead

As the intense cold wave hits northern parts of India more than 30 people are reported dead in various parts of India. Temperature in Leh town in state of Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday reached the lowest temperature of the season at -23 degree Celsius. Chilly winds also intensified the conditions in most parts of the north India and temperature is expected to fall further in the coming week till next Sunday.
