One of the survival of the alleged attack by Sri Lankan Navy on Tamil Nadu fishermen told reporters in Chennai that they left the Indian coast around 7 am and Sri Lankan Navy arrived on 4 or 5 pm. When Navy saw the boatmen fishing they open fired on them from the back side and a fisherman was killed in the incident. Sri Lankan Navy denied any such incident and said they never fired on the Indian fishermen.
