Apart from heading the World ODI XI of ICC Mahendra Singh Dhoni also won the “Spirit of Cricket” trophy at ICC awards ceremony in London. MS Dhoni was the lone highlight for India at the ICC Annual Awards this year as Indian team performed really bad after winning the World Cup in subcontinent. Construction work still in progress at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, even after the ICC, highest authority in the game of Cricket, decided it would not host the ICC World Cup 2011 game between India and England on February 27 at this venue due to delay in the works and the present condition of the stadium.

It was an easy win for India in one-off T20I match at Durban, after long and struggling Test Series, against South Africa on Sunday. India won the match by 21 runs as South Africa chasing the moderate target of 169 only managed to put 147/9 on board in their innings. Match was historic as it was the first cricket match at Moses Mabhida Stadium, a 2010 football World Cup venue.
